We might have hubs and depots all over the country but we have several head office sites in well placed areas of Leeds and are easily accessible from the likes of Manchester, Sheffield, York and Bradford. Both of our site have been recently refurbished to provide both perfect work and collaboration spaces. It’s the perfect setting for our parcel people to undertake their incredible work.
Our parcel people put lots of effort into their jobs and when we get recognised for doing something amazing it feels great. Over the last few years, we’ve won numerous awards for all sorts of things from the excellent operation of our hubs and depots, the transformation project of tech to employee engagement and having a green fleet of vehicles. Some of our incredible parcel people have won awards too including CIO of the Year and Customer Experience Champion.
Even though it’s heaving, we love adding to our awards cabinet, so we’ve got our fingers crossed that we might even win a couple more this year!
We’re the parcel people. We cover almost every corner of the UK and deliver over 300 million parcels a year. Our head office, hubs, depots and sub-depots are firmly routed in the communities where we are, and with our courier network our reach is much deeper. We employ thousands of people, all with their own lives, families and individual circumstances. Our Responsible Business action plan allows us to touch all parts of the UK, and make a real difference wherever we leave our footprint. Whether that’s where we build our sites, how many vehicles we’re putting on the road, how we develop our people and what we’re doing in their local communities.
We always 'do the right thing'. It’s one of our company values; but it’s not just in relation to how we all behave at work. We want to ‘do the right thing’ for our people, our customers, our local communities, our suppliers, our clients and our environment. Our programmes allow us to work closely with charities that are close to our parcel people hearts.
The crowning jewel in our internal events calendar each year is hands down our (award winning) Hermes Annual Conference.
It’s the hottest ticket in town, as over 600 of our parcel people get together to listen to our directors provide an update on how we're doing as a business, what we've done so far in the year and what is still to come. It sounds very corporate – but we promise you it’s not. We have lots of fun along the way and have in the past been joined by a familiar face or two. It’s also the time of year when we award our most amazing parcel people and teams.
